HRC from Teufelberger features a unique heat-resistant cover of blended Technora and spun Nomex. The Vectran core offers very high tensile and low stretch. It will last longer than traditional prusiks due to the reduced glazing. This prusik cord is supple, has excellent grip, and is non-melting and non-glazing.
Available in 8 mm and 28, 30, 32 and 34 inches long.
What is Technora?
Technora is an aramid that is useful for a variety of applications that require high strength or chemical resistance. This material is so strong it was used by NASA to to suspend the NASA Mars rover Opportunity from its parachute during descent!!!
What is Vectran?
Vectran’s golden fibers are noted for their thermal stability at high temperatures, high strength and modulus, low creep, and good chemical stability. They are moisture-resistant and generally stable in hostile environments.
What is Nomex?
Nomex and related aramid polymers are related to nylon, but have aromatic backbones, and hence are more rigid and more durable.
